APVC Personal Benefits

When you buy an APVC membership from Redseason you receive the core APVC benefits that any other owner would receive. The only thing you do not get are some additional benefits that APVC provide under the description of Personal Benefits.

So What Are the AVC Personal Benefits?

The AVC Personal Benefits are some additional benefits provided to AVC owners who purchase their credits direct from Accor. As such these benefits do not officially transfer to anyone who purchases a membership from Redseason. It is important to note that the Personal benefits are not written into the Accor Vacation Club constitution like the core AVC benefits so they could be changed or cancelled at any time (so even if you buy from Accor there is no guarantee that these benefits will be available to you in the future).

AVC Personal Benefits

  • Use of "Accor On Request" Accomodation. The Accor On Request program allows AVC owners to use their points to stay at Accor properties in the South Pacific region that are not a part of the AVC club. In general this is a very low value way to use your points as it will "cost" you a lot more points to stay a week in an "On Request" property than it would for the same stay in a club property. Therefore most people elect to pay cash when staying outside the club properties and save their points for club use to get the best value.
  • Use of AVC Travel and Cruise Services. The Cruise and Travel service is a licenced travel agency service offered to AVC members so that they can book other travel needs and cruises (for example flights and car hire). The AVC sales staff generally make a big deal of how much you will save but in real life I have not seen examples of huge savings compared to what can be found at discount travel agents such as many of the online agencies that now exist. Note that the AVC service is NOT the same as the one offered by Interval International - if you elect to join Interval International then you can use their travel services even with a resold membership.
  • Special AVC booking rates.  Currently AVC has a 15% discount off the best rate of the day available to AVC members for bookings at certain Accor hotels in the Asia Pacific region.  In general you can find these sorts of discounts available for online bookings anyway or you can also purchase an Accor Advantage Plus card to get discounted Accor accommodation.
  • Ability to book at Inter Club Resorts. AVC have indicated that owners of resold memberships will not be able to book at Inter Club Resorts owned by the Asian Club. Currently the only resort in this category is Bali but the Australian club also owns units at that resort (so you can book without using the inter club arrangement) and therefore the Bali property is not included in this restriction. Just be aware that future resorts in the Asian club may not be available to you.

Note that although these benefits do not offically transfer if you purchase a membership from us I have been told by several customers that they have still been able to access the discount hotel rates and travel club on a resold membership so it appears that APVC are not strictly enforcing these rules at the moment (but, of course, they may do in the future so you should assume you will not be able to use these benefits in the future if you purchase from us).
